I'm a wife, mom, teacher, and author, and I am in love with teaching and writing! It's here — on lindsaykveitch.com — that I get to share both of those loves with you. Literacy instruction is both invigorating and daunting. Those of us who love words know that they can be complicated. Learning to effectively read, write, and speak is a struggle for many students. I believe we can simplify literacy instruction while simultaneously enriching students' learning experiences. And it's my goal to help you do just that — increase the effectiveness of your literacy instruction by simplifying it.

About Lindsay 

I've spent over a decade as a teacher, yet I still consider myself a teacher-in-training. Writing about teaching gives me the opportunity to share some of my learning, teaching ideas, and inspirational stories with you. When I'm not teaching, learning, listening to podcasts, getting lost in a novel, or cooking dinner, I'm adventuring in nature with my husband and two sons. Last year I wrote my first book, The Write Structure: A Simple and Effective Method for {Teaching} Writing Across the Content Areas, and I continue to develop lessons and professional development based on that work.
